Hi

My client uses TLV320AIC26 to make a ship radio set.

The customer wants 5W or 10W speaker output.

Is it possible to add and configure an audio amplifier?

Recommend a way to use the 5w or 10w speakers.

    Hello,

    First, the AIC26 has a few newer upgrade options that may be useful to mention to the customer.  The TLV320AIC3104 would be a more recent offering with similar functionality.

    You'll notice that the AIC3104 does not include an 8Ohm speaker driver, but to answer your question, the AIC26 has a maximum output power on the HPL/HPR outputs of 325mW, so you may as well use a line-out driver on the AIC3104 to go into an analog input Class-D.  The TPA2011 is a popular 3W offering, I'll ask that you start a new thread asking for recommended 10W analog input class-D offerings from the amplifier group in TI.
