Is the TPA2005D1 Capable of driving 4 ohm speaker with Vdd @ 5.0V. The datasheet implied VDD should be Maximum 4.2 V with 4 ohm load.
What performance would be compromised when using VDD @ 5V with 4 ohm load.

Yes, the TPA2005D1 can only handle 4ohms load with the voltage range of 2.5V to 4.2V. Having a higher power supply may result in a risk of overcurrent. Constant exposure levels beyond this range may damage the device. So, we don't recommend to use higher power supplies for this load.
