TAS2557: Using TAS2557 at 32kHz

Part Number: TAS2557
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS2563

Hello. I think this question has been asked before but not necessarily publicly resolved.

A client I'm working for has specified a TAS2557 in a telephony product (so this isn't a question about the EVM!) The design is fairly mature.

We want to revise the sampling frequency we're using from 44.1kHz to 32kHz to improve compatibility with a software library. I note that:

  • PurePath Console doesn't specifically provide a 32kHz profile, or anything in the vicinity;
  • Theoretically there is no problem with supporting this sampling frequency, according to other posts on this forum;
  • In extremis I would bump all the compressor and filter time constants up by half an octave and a half and pretend I'm at 48kHz, but that seems a little silly.

Is there a standard way of coaxing this mammoth piece of software into using 32kHz? Any help would be appreciated.
