Hi team,
my customer would like to use TAS2521.
and they have question about SDA sink current.
could you tell me how much SDA sink current TAS2521 can drive?
best regards,
Takuya

Hi Terada-san,
Customer can use the suggested 2.7kOhm pull-up resistors for I2C bus lines.
Unfortunately there is no sink current spec for any pin at the device spec.

thank you for your support.
Customer consider to use lower resistance than 2.7 kOhm.
that is why they want to know the sink current spec.
Is it possible to test or something to get sink current spec?
best regards,
Takuya
Terada-san,
Without spec data we can only guess values and test. How low resistance is customer planning to use?
In the meantime I'll check if there is any internal resistor value data, as sink current data is most likely not available.

Hi Ivan,
thank you very much for your support.
Customer consider to use 2.2kOhm resistor, but it may be changed.
best regards,
Takuya
Hi Takuya-san,
I can try 2.2k in the lab and provide results early next week at the latest. I'll also let you know if can find any data related.

Hi Ivan,
thank you for your support.
>>I can try 2.2k in the lab and provide results early next week at the latest.
thank you very much. and if possible could you test lower resistance also?
because they may change lower resistance depending on the result of test that panasonic will conduct.
best regards,
Takuya
Takuya-san,
Let me get back to you with the results by the end of this week.

Hi Ivan,
thank you for your support.
ok!
and customer would like to know the test result of 1.5kΩ and 1kΩ also. ( pull-up voltage is 3.3V)
i am looking forward to the result!
best regards,
Takuya
Hi Takuya,
Thanks for the notice. I expect to test this today or tomorrow, I'll tabulate the results and let you know.

Takuya-san,
Sorry the delayed results. This will be tested today afternoon, will let you know the results at evening.

Hi Takuya-san,
I just tested for pull-up resistor down to 1kΩ and IOVDD = 3.3V, the results are that the device is working OK.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
