TAS2770EVM: VI-sensing defective. Sensed voltage is clipped.

Could you share again the picture of the sensed current and voltage you mentioned? I'm not able to see it.

In addition, could you share the details about your configuration on PPC3 and the audio recorder? Do you have some pictures or files you can share for better details.

I hope this time the picture will stay visible. The screenshot is from Adobe Audition. First channel is sensed current and second channel is sensed voltage.

Unless there is a way to reset the board, I think there is a good chance that the board is defective. We have purchased another TAS2770EVM board and it does not have this problem. I have checked the jumper settings are identical and the settings in ppc are identical.

Thank you for your feedback. There shouldn't be difference from board to board if all the conditions are the same. Is the IV sense behavior reproducible in both boards all the time?

Hi Luis,

The new board works and the old one does not work anymore. By that I mean that the new board voltage sensed data is not clipped. As you can see from the screenshot, the sensed voltage from the old board is clipped. The old board worked fine earlier and we do not know what has caused it to become defective. The IV sense behavior is reproduceable all the time.

It is only a few months since we purchased the "old" board, so I think we should return it and get a new one. Unless the problem can be handled by somehow resetting the board.
