PUREPATH-CMBEVM: PPCMB:How to set up Analog in

Part Number: PUREPATH-CMBEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5825MEVM

Hi,

I've been using a PPCMB with a TAS5825EVM, and am attempting to use the analog input. But I can't do it well.

I can successfully achieve an amplified output by using the USB input.

When first configuring the device within the PurePath Console 3, I select the TAS5825 app, select the  Stereo 2.0 speaker configuration, select USB In, then select Standard Processing (2.0 48k). The console configures the PPCMB and the TAS5825EVM, and when an input is applied, an amplifier output is obtained. However, when these same steps are taken, but with an analog input, there is no sound.

But,When I listen to the speaker carefully, I hear a small squealing(?) sound. I don't know what it is.

Are there any extra steps that need to be taken to use the analog input on the PPCMB?

For the time being, I attach a photo of the board connection.

Thanks,
Taka
