Hello there,

I am using LM4875 amplifier for 1W @8ohm speaker and providing a 5V supply with a booster.

As a audio input I have connected MIC. When I speak something it is drawing about 380mA average current.

Can you tell me what is the average current that this IC is consuming?

This current seems to be a little big high for me. Could you provide your LM4875 schematic portion in order to have a better approach to this?

Hi, Suraj,

The schematic circuit seems to be correct for me. Do you have a lower current consumption if the speaker is removed? If so, I think the current consumption you are getting is correct.

Yes, the current consumption is lower if I remove the speaker means in no load condition.
