TPA2018D1: Spec discrepancy

Part Number: TPA2018D1

I just bought the TPA2018D1YZFEVM development kit.

The instruction manual says

Po is 1.7W and Rl Min is 8 ohms

The data sheet for the TPA2018D1 says

3W into 4 ohms. L min is 3.2 ohms

What is the truth? I spent $150.00 on this development kit thinking I have a 3W 4 ohm system.

If that is not the case I have a problem.

    Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products!

    This should be a typo on the EVM User's Guide. The TPA2018D1 is capable to achieve 3W into a 4 ohms load. It is actually shown in the electrical characteristics data.

    We will work to update the information of the EVM User's Guide in order to avoid this kind of conflicts.
