TPA6139A2: Input blocking capacitors needed even if PCM5101A is source?

Part Number: TPA6139A2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM5101A

In the TPA6139A2 datasheet section10.2.2.1.4, it says

"DC input-blocking capacitors are required to be added in series with the audio signal into the input pins of the
TPA6139A2."

Are the input-blocking capacitors still required if the input is from a PCM5101A?  That datasheet says:

"Using Directpath™ charge-pump technology, thePCM510xA devices provide 2.1-VRMS ground-centered outputs, allowing designers to eliminate DC blocking capacitors on the output"

Thanks!
