LM4562: Asking for LM4562 design questions

Part Number: LM4562
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2776

Hi team,

customer is designing LM4562 in new project.

Customer met an issue. if customer provide the following condition, the V- voltage will change to 0V. It seems the current is to huge and it is over LM2776's capability.

V+=5V

V-=-3.3V

however, if customer change the condition as below. the abnormal is disappear.

V+=5V

V-=-3.3V

Would you please review and provide your comment? do V= and V- need to be symmetrical?

BR,

SHH

  • Hi, SHH,

You are right, the power supplies need to be symmetrical in order to get a proper behavior. Actually, if you take a look at the different performance characteristics plots in the datasheet, all of them have symmetrical power levels.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
