PCM1690-Q1: Question about output voltage range, and digital filter characterisitcs

Part Number: PCM1690-Q1

Hello Team,

I got some questions from customer. Can you answer below?

Q. Regarding with analog differential output voltage spec, the typical value is shown 1.6 x VCC. Do you know the Min/Max value of this? We don't guarantee this but if you have some data, it's helpful

Q. Regarding with Fig.19 "delta-sigma modulator and digital filter characteristic", Does this graph show the aliasing noise?

Q. Customer will use LRCK=44.1kHz, SCKI=11.2896MHz(256fs). In that case, the modulator OSR is different between AUTO and Single mode. In the Auto mode, the OSR is x64, but in the Single mode the OSR is x128.

If the Auto mode(x64), it correspond to DSM_Dual(x64) in Fig.19

If the Single mode(x128), it correspond to DSM_Single(x128) in Fig.19. Is my understanding correct?

Thanks,

Yuta Kurimoto

  • Hi Kurimoto-san,

    1. I do not have data on that value, but I suspect it is well within ±10% accurate.

    2. The 3 lines, DSM_Single, DSM_Dual, DSM_Quad feature the noise characteristics of the output. Generally, this is called "out-of-bound" noise, but it also includes any aliasing caused by the DSM.

    3. Your understanding is correct.

    Thanks,

    Paul
