PCM1840: Is it possible to use IOVDD at 2.8 Volts?

Part Number: PCM1840

Hello TI Community,

in the PCM1840 data sheet the I/O Supply Voltage IOVDD is always stated either as 3.3V or 1.8V. Under Recommended Operating Conditions the data sheet states a minimum of 3.0V and maximum of 3.6V for IOVDD = 3.3V and a minimum of 1.65V and maximum of 1.95V for IOVDD = 1.8V.

Our application would require IOVDD to be 2.85V. Is this possible? If not, what could we do to operate the device at 2.85V IOVDD?

Best Regards,
Ulrich

  • Hi Ulrich,

Since our US application team on Thanksgiving holidays last week therefore i'm responding on behalf of them.

Yes, the device can be operated with IOVDD 2.85V. What specified in datasheet is as per the JEDEC standard to support all the timing specification but customer can use intermediate IOVDD voltage level as required.

    Regards,

    Uttam
