TLV320AIC3007: Only use Line Out, what are the needs for other analog pins

Hello,

In my application, we only use I2S to line out function with TLV320AIC3007.

What about all analog inputs / outputs? Do I need to fix analog inputs pins to ground?

Is the following schematic is correct in order to only use line out?

Hello,

Please short all of the inputs together and then connect them to GND through a ~0.47uF capacitor to prevent unwanted noise-pickup. It shouldn't really impact the output channels, but it's the recommended best-practice.

Make sure you include AC coupling caps on the line outputs and also include an out-of-band noise low-pass filter that can be set outside the desired frequency band of interest.

Thanks for the feedback.

Do you have some component reference to share for filter?

We use the codec to provide stereo line to a car stereo unit (warning sound and maybe text to speech)

Hello,

Sure, assuming the car stereo is looking for a line-input, then consider a differential 2x100Ω+22nF filter for a ~36kHz cutoff frequency.

Hello,

I2C is used to configure the device. By default, there are no blocked powered on (ADC, DAC, PLL, PGA, etc. are powered down) so you will need to use I2C to configure the device.
