TAS2770: TAS2770 Audio Device Interface with Processor IMX8M Series

Part Number: TAS2770

As the audio driver for TAS 2770 was not available in Linux Kernel 5.4 and hence, we had to backport the same from 5.8 to 5.4 Kernel.

The iMX8M (Processor) is configured as a master to TAS2770 and will be clocking to TAS2770.

We have configured the audio sampling rate of 48000 for TAS2770 audio codec.

Following are the observations:

  1. We are able to get bit-clock of 48000Hz and word-clock of 1536000Hz but still there is no audio output on speaker.

        2. Current configuration for clock works for 48000Hz sampling rate

So is there any specific requirement for IMX8M processor interface with TAS2770 Audio Devices
