PUREPATH-CMBEVM: TAS5825MEVM + CMBEVM

Part Number: PUREPATH-CMBEVM

Hello,

I'm just getting started with the evaluation.  I'd like to run 192kHz sample rate signals to test performance over the entire frequency range of the device.

A few questions -

1.  I was surprised there is no technical documentation on the webpage for the CMBEVM, but thank fully the discussion pointed to this:

https://e2e.ti.com/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/6/PurePath-Console-MB-user-guide.pdf

Are there any changes to Rev G, which is what I just received?  The PCB photos look quite a bit different.

2.  Does analog input only work up to ~20kHz?  Is there any other easy method than I2S to test signals all the way to 96kHz?

3.  Does the CMBEVM require MCLK connection for I2S?  (The other device is master of course)

4.  I note there is data on the MUTE pin, why is that?  I am programming it with "housekeeping 2", as it is the only option for 192kHz.  Are the other status pins correct as marked or are they also remapped?  (FAULT1z, WARN1z, etc.)

Eventually I will want to test this with PBTL, with my own filter, so it looks like I'll have to remove the filter manually and rewire.

Thank you.
