Hi Team

The figure below shows the debugging parameters of PPC3 when the customer performs the pressure line test. The AP test is normal during IIC online debugging. After the customer exports the header file .h file, the data is written into TAS3251 through the MCU. The AP test can not realize the crimping. Is this what is the reason? What is the reason for this? Why can't the exported data achieve pressure line? Is there a problem with the operation? Is there a problem with the operation? Operational problems?

Hi Gust,

Please check below items,

1. I2C communication

2. Read the DRC coefficients registers back and see if they are successfully written.

3. After initialized by MCU, is the device playing music but the DRC/Crossover is not taking effect?

Please also share the .ppc file thus I can take a try on EVM. Thanks!

Hi Gust,

The file you attached was not a .ppc3 file, could you try again? Please open the PPC3 GUI, in the tuning page, click "save as...".

For the item 2, just read the coefficient registers which you had modified for DRC in 4-byte, and compare whether it is successfully written.

BTW, when you were saying "The AP test can not realize the crimping", is the audio amp playing music but without desired DRC feature, or there was no output from the amp at all?

Hi Sam,

I have checked with my customer, they can confirm these information.

1. I2C can connect correctly.

2. The audio amp can play music

3. They still can not read the DRC because they don't know the register.

The new .ppc3 file is in the attachment. Can you try it again? This is new one and my customer can read .ppc3 file in his software. Thanks a lot!

Hi Gust,

The profile works well on EVM. As we talked on the phone, please guide customer to use single frequency sine wave to validate the DRC feature.

They are using low frequency boosting strategy, which may be not quite obvious to perceive.
