PUREPATHCONSOLE: Configuring amplifiers without an EVM

Hi there,

I'm new to the TI range of amplifiers, in particular the smart amplifiers, however we are seeing a growing need to start using these devices. I have access to PPC 3 and am in the process of obtaining our first EVM board to try configuring the amplifier, however, I'm wondering what the process is for configuring amp chips once they are integrated into our own designs/PCB's? What's the minimum hardware requirements for our PCB that must be included to ensure the amplifier can be configured for our application without using a whole EVM board?

Thank you for contacting us to clarify your questions.

Actually, any device compatible with PPC3 can be set with all the configuration from PPC3 just adjusting the registers via I2C. PPC3 has an End System Integration section where you can generate output files with the registers configuration that include all the settings of PPC3.

I recommend to take a look at this FAQ below. Of course, the device that you select must respect all the electrical characteristics and schematic/pcb guidelines in order to have good results.
