Part Number: PCM1804
Hi team,
If rising time or falling time, max 10ns which described at page 24 of the datasheet, is violated, what can be expected to happen?

Hideki

Hi Hideki-san,
Longer rise times can potentially degrade the quality of the clock edge and result in increased jitter in the clock. This jitter can lead to a degradation in the THD performance of the device.

Zak
Hi Zak,
Is there any possibility to shorten IC lifespan or to increase a possibility to damage IC? Customer ask this because the pins are keep 'middle voltage' (not H, also not L) for a longer time than the datasheet expect.

Hideki
Hi Hideki,
This is not going to damage the device. Note that keeping the pins biased between the rails though could result in higher power consumption.
Best,
Zak
