PCM1774: Clock setting

Hi,

My customer is trying setting clock frequency as below;

SCLK: 8MHz, FS:31.25kHz, BCLK:1MHz

BCLK/FS=32 in this case.

However, there is no "32" in BIT CLOCK BCK ot table 9/10 on the datasheet.

Does it mean that this setting is inappropriate?

    Hi Kuramochi-san,

    Are they using the device in Master mode? Table 9 and 10 only apply to master mode.  If they are sourcing the I2S signals externally, then it should not matter.

    If they need the PCM1774 to source the BCK and the I2S slave only support BCK=32×fS, then they can operate the device in burst mode.
