PCM1754-Q1: Exact time from power up to analog output

Part Number: PCM1754-Q1

Hello,

My customer wants to estimate the exact time from power up to the start of analog output.

In the datasheet description, it seems there is time for 1024 system clocks, 1/fs for register initialization, and a unit group delay. However, there seems another delay in the figure shown as the red arrow below. How long is this delay can be?

Also please let me know how I can know the unit group delay.

Thank you.

Regards,

Oguri (TIJ automotive FAE)

  • Hi Oguri-san,

That exact timing was never characterized, but I would expect this device would initialize very quickly, <1ms.

The group delay is estimated to be between 18/fS to 20/fS.  On my bench I measured approximately 20/fS.

    Thanks,

    Paul
