Hi , I  have  a question about of  TAS5805M EQ,There is no Low Shelf and Hight Shelf in Stereo 2.1 mode, but there are low Shelf and Hight Shelf in Stereo 2.0 mode. I want to ask why?

    Hi customer,

    Low shelf is also called bass shelf and high shelf is also called treble shelf.

    Hi Genius,

    Bass shelf and treble shelf will not work, as the transition is too abrupt.  The intended response is a bass and treble tilt that gradually adjusts level over several octaves.

    I noticed that the interface has a setting called "custom", but it does not have any other parameters.  Is the "custom" setting for custom biquad coefficients?  It seems inconceivable that the device would not allow custom biquad coefficients since all available filters are clearly biquads.

    Hi Switch,

    As you know, for each biquad, it consists of 5 parameters: b0, b1, b2, a2 and a3 as a0=1. Hence, you can configure the Low shelf or high shelf in PPC3 GUi and then copy the parameters to customer. Apply will make it work.

    I cannot understand "Bass shelf and treble shelf will not work, as the transition is too abrupt", may you scope to help me to understand.
