LM4871: output voice want louder

Hi team, 

When using LM4871 according to datasheet recommend, as below, R30=20kohm, R1=20kohm, the voice volume is not louder. If i want to increase the volume, could i increase the amplify gain, like R30=20k, R1=100k?

Would this damage the speaker? If it works, what is  the limitation before damaging the speaker

    Hi Gene,

    The gain from data sheet values is 2V/V, as described in equation 1.
    You can increase the gain with the resistors values you mention, but how much power is at the output will depend on your input signal as well. If you know what is the input signal you can estimate the output based on the gain. However the output is limited to the power supply, it cannot deliver more than what it is supplied, if the output signal reaches the maximum level it will saturate.
