TLV320AIC3110: TLV320AIC3110, QFN32 chip IO control level problem

Part Number: TLV320AIC3110

We used 3.3V IO of FPGA to control TLV320AIC3110 and QFN32 chips. Now we want to use 1.8V IO to control TLV320AIC3110. Does TLV320AIC3110 support 1.8V IO control?

If 1.8V IO is supported to control, does the line change only need to change the supply voltage of IOVDD from 3.3V to 1.8V?

Attached is the schematic diagram we designed, which requires audio input and output functions. Please help to check to see if there is anything wrong. Thank you.

  • Hello Ken,

Yes, the TLV320AIC3110 does support an IOVDD level of 1.8V. You also only need to simply change the level from 3.3V to 1.8V. However, after reviewing the schematic, I did see that the I2C lines are pulled up to AVDD. This is okay if IOVDD is 3.3V but if IOVDD is 1.8V, then the I2C as well as the RESET pin needs to be pulled up to the level of IOVDD. I recommend changing the net on these pins to the IOVDD net.

Additionally, I see that there is an unused MIC input. Please connect this input to GND via a 0.47uF capacitor.

    Regards,

    Aaron Estrada
