Hello,

I am trying to pass external I2S audio through J4 on the Purepath motherboard Rev G to play audio on a TAS5825MEVM. I ran the script here:

And don't see any clock or data on the test points on the TAS5825EVM. It looks like the I2S MUX isn't switching to the correct output. Is there documentation on how to verify the output of the MUX is changed?

Hello Michael,

Remove R311 and populate R327 with a 5k resistor.
This will select external I2S for MUX4/5/6.

Should I also remove R312? Can you elaborate on why this modification is needed? Thanks!

Hello Michael,

This HW modification helps fix issues with the HW muxes select used to configure external I2S through the PSIA connectors. R312 does not need to be modified.

Let me know if you still see issues after the modification

Thanks. I'm able to use J4 headers to input an external I2S source after making this modification.
