PCM2912A: external crystal replacement

Hi sir,

My customer used 6MHz crystal for PCM2912A.

Recently they were informed this crystal will be EOL, due to 6MHz is not popular in the market, could we use other frequency of crystal for PCM2912A?

    Hello,

    This device is designed to require a 6MHz clock input and as you'll see in the recommended operating table, the requirements are to provide a 5.997 - 6.003MHz frequency for proper operation.  Alternative options are to use an external 6MHz timer output of your MCU or processor in the system.

    Digital input clock frequency: Min: 5.997MHz, Typ: 6MHz, Max: 6.003MHz
