Running multiple PCM2912 devices on windows

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2912

Hi,

I would like to 'virtually' connect multiple sound cards in windows. (eg: For using multiple usb headsets on your computer)

I have developed a sound card using the Ti PCM2912 chipset which installs flawlessly using the default windows drivers.

However, as far as I know, there is no way of mixing multiple USB auio streams in windows - and no way to do it via the windows developers API either.

Does Ti provide alternative drivers and/or APIs to enable this functionality?

Would this feature be possible on any of Ti's other USB codecs? What would be my best option to proceed?

Cheers,

Terry

  • The USB audio codecs work with the Windows USB drivers - we don't have dedicated drivers.

This would have to be done with an application that virtually connects multiple (USB) sound cards.

Without endorsing the following, I suggest googling for audiorepeater and Virtual Audio Cable.
