TAS5760M PBTL preferred wiring solution

Looking at the TAS5760M datasheet, I see that you show wiring the amp in PBTL mode two different ways. In figure 51, the output pins at tied before the output filter network, and in Figure 55, the PBTL lines are tied after the filter network. Is one scheme preferred over the other?

Also, there is an error in the datasheet. Figure 54 is listed as a Mono PBTL mode, but the speaker wiring is clearly stereo BTL.

    Thanks for the feedback on the d/s. We are actually in the process of fixing this error as someone else pointed it out.

    As for your PBTL question, the chip can be either mode... If you program it for PBTL mode, then it locks the two outputs together so you can just use two inductors. This can save space/money, but remember, those two inductors must be sized for the total load current.

    If you don't tie the two outputs together, then the four inductors just need to be sized for half the load current.
