TPA3111D1 pop/click noise reduction mechanism

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA1517, TPA3111D1

Hi,

I will propose TPA3111D1 to my customer instead of TPA1517 because it is pop/click noise free.

Would you tell me the mechanism or internal circuits to realize pop noise free?

Thank you for your support.

  • Hi, Suzuki-san,

TPA3111D1 has internal de-pop circuit for minimize pop/click. Has the customer had the chance to check out the pop/click performance with an EVM yet? Any issue?

  • Hi, Paul-san,

    Thank you for your reply!

My customer has adopted TPA1517 for their new product, but they have a problem with pop noise.

So I plan to propose TPA3111D1 to the customer for their next model.

Then I suppose the customer must ask me to explain about its de-pop circuit/mechanism.

I think I would like to prepare the answer for the question in advance.

Would you tell me how to realize de-pop or provide me something materials which explain de-pop?

    Best Regards,

  • Hi, Takumi-san,

The pop-free performance is realized by several design techniques which we do not share to the public as you can understand. Typically to be pop-free, especial attention is given to the IC offset voltage, internal component matching, startup and shutdown sequence/timing, charging of inputs caps etc.

    reg,

    Paul Chen.

  • Hi Paul-san,

Oh, I see ... but I understood your situation.

I think I can have rough image of the techniques by your comments.

    Thank you for your kindness!
