I got the complete EVM set of AIC3101 + USB interface board and want to test with GUI in Windows 7.
I've downloaded the latest NI-VISA software from the ni.com site. I've also downloaded the latest GUI software (slac249, version 1.01) from the TI site.
The computer device manager shows the drivers are installed OK.
The problem is when I start the GUI. The default splash screen disappears followed by the device selection. Once I select the device, the program configures and the GUI screen shows on the computer briefly before closing.
A video recording of this shows that the program is connecting to the evaluation board OK.
I've changed the compatibility settings in Windows 7 to XP ( tried both SP2, SP3) and tried running in administrator mode. No change, GUI still closes.
Seems to be a software issue to me, but I have not run into this issue before.
