TAS2560: How to access the sensed IV data?

Part Number: TAS2560
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS2555, TAS2557

Hello,

I have a question here, how can I get access to the sensed current and voltage data? I need to design some algorithms based on these information.

As far as I can understand, the  DOUT gives PDM stream which is fed to the host. Can I get the demodulated current and voltage info through the TAS2560EVM?

Many thanks!

Best regards,

Xiaohui

  • Xiaohui,

As you say I/V sense data is sent back through DOUT.
Current and voltage information are converted based on the full scale signal values. Full scale values are on data sheet page 7.
You could develop algorithms based on the I/V sensed information. However there are devices like TAS2555 and TAS2557 that have speaker protection algorithm running on them. This helps with an easier system implementation.
