Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5760MD, TAS5760M
My company uses the TAS5760L in our newest product. At present we can make it play music with an 512x MCLK but not with a 64x MCLK.
Do you have experience with this chip?
Our system uses I2S at 44.1ksps with 64 bit clock ticks per stereo sample. The source is a Raspberry Pi. We don't have a good MCLK available, and chose the TAS5760L because the datasheet says it can run with MCLK=SCLK=64x fs.
However, it does not produce any audio output at that configuration. We did try to strap in an asynchronous MCLK crystal oscillator at +-512 times the fs. Then it plays music, but not with a very good quality. What we hear reminds me of frequent buffer overruns.
We'd appreciate your input as to how it may function well at MCLK=SCLK=64x.
Thanks,
Børge
