TLV320AIC3254: Echo Cancellation

Hi Team,

I have done a fair amount of investigation into echo cancellation with regard to the TLV320AIC3254. There seems to be two different messages on TI about the subject, and I would like some clarification. 

One one hand there is this post, which states that the TLV320AIC3254 cannot perform echo cancellation:

Then, there is this application note, which say that echo cancellation can be performed using the TLV320AIC3254:

So which is it, can the TLV320AIC3254 perform AEC or not?

    Hi, Jared,

    As mentioned before, the miniDSP in the 'AIC3254 does not have enough processing power to perform effective Echo Cancellation algorithms. The document you are referring to is not valid and should not be used as reference, it was removed some time ago from TI web when we stopped supporting the echo cancellation for our codecs.
