AICPUREPATH_STUDIO: Change size of workspace

Part Number: AICPUREPATH_STUDIO

I created an algorithm in PurePath Studio for the miniDSP in a TLV320AIC3254 codec and the algorithm consumes nearly all of the workspace. I need to duplicate the entire algorithm in that codec but there isn't enough space in the workspace to do this. Can the workspace be resized?

  • Hi, Rob,

The memory of the miniDSP is determined by the operation mode and sampling rate according to the framework used. You may try to change the value  of miniDSP cycles in the properties window and see if you are able to increase it.

  • Hi Diego,

I am referring to the size of the graphical workspace in PurePath Studio. I am using a lot of elements such as delays and multiplexers which take up a lot of graphical space. The whole algorithm utilizes about 55% of the available miniDSP cycles so I will place the second instance on the miniDSP_D (the first instance runs on miniDSP_A) but I am having trouble fitting both instances in PurePath Studio.
  • Hi, Rob,

Thanks for the clarification, almost all the size-related questions we get from PPS are referent to the miniDSP memory size, sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately, there is no option available in PPS to adjust the work area size. I will check with my team if some workaround is possible, however as this tool does not have active support from a software standpoint, it would be complicated to make any change to the work area size.

  • I see. I'll try to fit my design in the current graphical workspace or develop a workaround. Thank you.
