TPA1517: Output capacitor spec

Dear Team,

May I know what is the spec for TPA1517 output capacitor (COR)? What is the minimum capacitance and withstand voltage for the capacitor? Is it possible to use capacitor with smaller capacitance and withstand voltage? Thanks.

    Hi Yen,

    its wise to make the output caps withstand the full supply voltage in the event of a damage of output stage.

    The output cap and the speaker load resistance form a high pass filter. If you decrease the output capacitance, then you will get a higher corner frequency of high pass filter. So, the lower frequencies of music are reproduced worse.
