OPA1642: Life testing at 125C?

Part Number: OPA1642

I'm interested in knowing if these parts have gone through life testing at 125C? My team is looking upscreen these parts and are seeking guidance regarding what temperature to perform life test at since the package is rated at 85C and the junction temp is 125C. History of life testing would be helpful in our decision making.

Hi Fiorella,
The OPA1642 will operate up to 125°C, but the specifications provided in the OPA1642 datasheet are only valid up to 85°C.

We do offer a AEC Q100 qualified variant of the OPA1642, the OPA1642-Q1, with a specified range of -40°C to 125°C if higher-temperature operation is required.

Thank you, Alexander. Can you verify if the OPA1642-Q1 is just a screened version of the OPA1642 or if it is fundamentally different in the manufacturing technique?

Hi Fiorella,
Q1 devices are automotive qualified, which involves an additional qualification process, additional test criteria, and for some products may use different manufacturing processes or materials.
