tlv320aic3212 beep generator

Part Number: TLV320AIC3212

Hello Sirs,

Question 1:

For this beep generatior function.

Can this function generate ex: 1K sine wave tone continuously ?

If yes, would you pls provide suitable suggestion base on aic3212 EVM

example configuration " playback to headphone"

Question 2:

Is there suggestion to use SPK+  output to drive buzzer with 50% duty cycle and frequency at 1KHz by i2s input ?

Normally PWM is 50% duty at 3xx KHz when no audio input .  I want a certain frequency to drive buzzer at SPK+ only ( single-end )

Many thanks !

  • Hi, Terry,

The beep function is meant to be used to generate a tone with a determined duration; It is not possible to run a continuous tone. It should be possible to generate a continuous tone in the miniDSP of the AIC3262, which is a similar device to the AIC3212, but with custom processing capabilities.

The PWM frequency of the Class-D speaker amplifier actually is fixed and cannot be modified in the device.
