Hello,

The question is in the title.

All I could notice reading the manuals is that the LA is slightly better in terms of THD.

Any other major advantages for the LA?

The 5614A is still ACTIVE, but not listed with other PWM power modules.

Shouldn't its status be NRND instead?

Hi Jean-Jacques,

The following is the performance difference between LA and A.

1. LA 's Gain is 0.9dB higher than A.

2. LA is worse than A at input level from -30 to 40dB because of bigger dead time.

Besides, A has better PSRR than LA.

Hi Jean-Jacques,
Basically the TAS5614LA device is a feature optimized class-d power amplifier based on the TAS5614A. The TAS5614LA uses large MOSFETs for improved power efficiency and a novel gate drive scheme for reduced losses in idle and at low output signals leading to reduced heat sink size. So it's recommended to be used in the efficiency-sensitive cases.
