TLV320AIC3107: power sequence

Part Number: TLV320AIC3107

Hi Team,

RnD asked a question regarding our Codec 3107 power sequence, this device has several power rails – IOVDD and DVDD are digital, AVDD and DRVDD are analog.

Do we suggest to separate the power tree?

In our datasheet we suggest IOVDD power up first.

Because if using same power tree, IOVDD usually came after AVDD, so it’s impossible to make it power up early than AVDD.

Is this power sequence sensitive in Codec?

Thanks!

Andrew

  • Andrew,

The AIC3107 has a very flexible power sequence, The only real issue if they don't follow the sequence is leakage current.

One thing I want to mention is that the reset pin should be held low until after the supplies are stable.

    best regards,
