TLV320AIC3104EVM-K: AIC3104

Part Number: TLV320AIC3104EVM-K

Hi

I am trying to run the evaluation software GUI on win 10.

The USB-MODEVM drivers are installed correctly with no issues as NI-VISTA USB devices and under

sound, video and game controller as well.

When I run the TLV320AIC310xEVM evaluation Tool the software open a window with "Connect USB"

all jumpers on the evaluation board are set correctly according the user guide.

I tried with compatibility mode , no helps.

Please assist.

Ran

  • Ran,

In your device manager, does TLV320AIC3104EVM show up in your USB devices as an NI-VISA device? or if not how does it show up?

    best regards,
    -Steve Wilson
  • Hi Steve

yes it does please see the image enclosed

  • Ran,

you will need to install the updated drivers for windows 10.

you can find them under the software page of the EVM product folder:
    www.ti.com/.../TLV320AIC3104EVM-K

open the folder and there are two files:
    1. USB-MODEVM_vista&7.inf

    2. USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf

    Instructions for installing these files:

    USB-MODEVM_vista&7.inf Installation:
To apply the contents of this file to a system's settings, right-click
this file and choose "Install". If the device was plugged in before this
file is installed, the device will need to be removed from the "Unknown
Devices" class in the Windows Device Manager.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf installation:

To apply the contents of this file to a system's settings, copy this file
to %SystemRoot%\inf and reboot the computer. If the device was
installed before this file is copied, the device will need to be removed
from the "Unknown Devices" class in the Windows Device Manager.

The driver signature enforcement will need to be turned off for these drivers.

    best regards,

  • Hi Steve

I used the installation files as you described to do,

no help it doesn't work, still showing "connect USB"

    Regards

    Ran

  • Ran,

and you disabled signature enforcement for the driver installation? If they drivers were not installed correctly, the device will not be recognized, and the software will not open.

    best regards,
    -Steve Wilson
