TAS2505-Q1: DC drive with Auto Mute Disabled

Hello, 

I know TAS2505-Q1 has Auto Mute function. In case Auto Mute Disabled, can TAS2505-Q1 receive DC input and DC output?

My customer consider to use non-audio application(not connected to speaker), so want to know if the device can support DC drive.

    Hello, Kengo,

    You are right, the TAS2505-Q1 supports DC inputs. If you use the AINL and AINR inputs, there's no need to disable the Auto Mute feature since this function only applies for DAC block. AINx inputs are connected directly to the headphone and speaker outputs.

    You only must remove all the AC-coupling capacitors at the input and outputs. This will ensure that the DC signal will not be blocked.
