DRV632: Input Impedance

Part Number: DRV632
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA1612, OPA1622

Hi Audio Folks

A customer is asking about the input impedance of DRV632. Could you advise?

He is looking for high input impedance line driver due the preceding stage (instruments preamp) has 100-500k ohm output impedance. If DRV632 is not suitable kindly make another suggestion. Preferable >1Mohm input impedance. Thanks

  • Hi Kelvin,

Input resistor range of DRV632 is not able to go that high resistance. That may increase the noise of the amplifier.
I'll need to check out other amplifiers specs. I'll provide some recommendations as soon as possible.

  • Kelvin,

For such high input impedance I think you need to look for a bipolar or FET input amplifier. A couple featured options are OPA1612 and OPA1622.
