Can the PCM9211 be used without the 24.576 input clock?

    YES. PCM9211 can be used without external crystal. DIR/DIT & ADC can operate without XTI clocking. However, running without the XTAL has limitations including

    • No fs estimation

    • fs range is 28K-108KHz only, no support 192KHz.
