TAS5548: We can't connect the EVM to GUI PPC1

Hi Team

We have a TAS5548 in our hand, it can't connet to the computer right now but it is normal before. When we plug into the USB, the computer indicate as below picture. It is a Unrecognized USB device. Is it the driver unnormal ? How can we recovery it ?

Hi aggil,

Are you sure that the TI USB Audio Device reader was installed? Usually it installs automatically but if the computer isn't reading the device that could suggest that it wasn't. In the image below is what the icon should look like:

I don't find this icon in my computer, But I can use PCM5242EVM or Purepath console motherboard. Is that say TI USB AUDIO device reader is installed to my computer ? If not, Can you share the install file ?

Hi Aggil,

Wait so you see the audio source TI USB-AudioEVM when you connect the TAS5548EVM as well? Or is the image you showed me only the PurePath Console Motherboard or PCM5242EVM?

It is only the PurePath Console Motherboard and PCM5242EVM. I can't see it when i connect the TAS5548EVM.

I install TI USB Audio Device reader , but TAS5548 also can't be found.

Hi Aggil,

Just making sure. I'm trying to figure out what's different with your system compared my system. The EVM USB light comes on when you plug it in?

I'm trying to make sure that this isn't a hardware issue.

Only the 3.3V LED light indicate, and the USB LOCK LED light is off. Is that to say the hardware have some issue ?

Hi Aggil,

I'm wondering if the TAS1020 on the EVM wasn't properly programmed and is the cause of the issues you are seeing. Do you have a second TAS5548EVM?
