Hi, Scott,
Do you have any capture about the temperature graph of PPC3? We would like to verify how the Thermal Measurement is done by PPC3. In some cases, the device is not capable to reach the expected temperature and the test fails. Is it possible to take a capture or a video of the thermal measurement steps?
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi, Odyssey_Lin,
Thank you for providing the video above.
Have you tried with a different speaker from the same manufacturer? Additionally, have you tried with different thermal parameters (temperature coefficient, increasing the thermal limit and excitation frequency)?
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi, Odyssey,
Thank you for your testing.
Could you also provide the jumpers settings that you are using, please? Are both boards in default configuration? Are you providing an external voltage to the boards?
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Odyssey,
Thank you for providing the details above. I don't find anything wrong on the registers settings or any other configuration that you are using? Could you try uninstalling PPC3 including all its folders and reinstall it again?
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi Luis:
Thanks for your suggestions.
I reinstalled PPC3 and even reinstalled PPC3 on other computers, but still encounter the same situation.
Thanks.
BR,
Odyssey.
Hi, Odyssey,
Sorry for my late reply.
I have more questions regarding this issue.
Could you try using the output OUT2 (LS2) from the TAS2563 EVM instead of the one you are using? Do you have different results.
In the page that marks the temperature test failure (the one that you attached in your first post), did you try modifying the Thermal Fit Offset? Also, is you speaker heated before the test? Do you have its datasheet?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi, Odyssey,
In addition, could you try with other wires on J15 AMP_OUT of PP-SALB2-EVM? They seem to be too thin. You may even connect them to the J15 pins to ensure the connection.
Are you using the most recent version of PPC3?
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi, Odyssey,
I will close this E2E thread for now. But please feel free to provide a feedback and the details that you get in this same thread. We will be glad to help you.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi, Odyssey,
Do you have the same results when you connect the speaker wires to the white connector (J15)? It seems that the blue connector (J14) is not soldered correctly in your board.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
