Hi everyone ,

TI codec chip like TLV320AIC3106 have 2 ADC channel and 10 analog input.

so is it possible connect 10 microphone to this codec? how ? and off course must be connected with single-ended ?

and how to record all them ( 10 micro) at the same time?

Hi Mahdi,

Although the datasheet states that there are 10 analog inputs, they can only be configured to 4 fully-differential pairs + 1 single-ended pair OR 6 single-ended inputs.

The TLV320AIC3106 does not have the capability to record all inputs at the same time. There are only two ADCs in the system. However, you can use the mixing function to mix together multiple signals.

are you sure about can't record all them at same time because in my Previous question post

mr.Steve Wilson was sayed it possible and depend on driver implementation ?

Hi Mahdi,

I believe I misunderstood part of your question. My apologies.

You can record at the same time but what you won't be able to do is have 10 microphones connected at the same time.

Yes that is correct. You can always refer to section 11.3.4 in the datasheet. Hope this helped!
