Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PP-SALB2-EVM, , TAS2563, TAS2559
Dear Forum,
for a medium-sized company building doorline systems I'd like to evaluate if TI's SmartAmps will get us further in building up devices with loud and small speakers.
Unfortunately I can't currently find out what devices (EVM / PP-SALB2 / etc.) are "really" needed to get a first demo for my customer showing that the smartAmp will improve performance of a particular speaker the customer has already choosen. (Unfortunately there is no characterization from the speaker-manufacturer).
Is the "laser" that can be connected to the PP-SALB2-EVM really needed? Or is it included? Which one can be used?
As I understood the Laser is only used for Excursion-Measurement but as speech is the most important use-case for the customer and Excursion will only come into weight on Low freqencies, this might not be the most important paramter, or do I get something wrong?
I think the Customer is willing to invest in further equipement as soon as I would show them a successfull demo demonstrating the improvement that can be reached with a smart amp.
So currently the most important task is to get a demo running that shows some improvements on their speaker without having to invest to much in evaluation hardware.
Or may it be possible to "rent" the needed equipement somewhere?
May someone give me some hints here?
Best Regards
Pascal Speck
