Dear Sirs,
My customer asked us about output short for TAP6133A.
Then, there is described about current limit block.
The following is also described.
However, no specific limit current value is described.
In addition, I do not have TPA6133A2EVM.
So I checked with the TPA6130A2EVM because I had the same CurrentLimitBlock with the same output.
I measured only one channel.
The results are as follows.
1. External power supply use: 5V
2. Load resistance: 16 Ω
3. Input 1 kHz
4. No distortion maximum output: 1. 393 Vrms
5. Output current: 82.86 mA
Output short circuit under this condition
Output current value: 196mA
Measure the power supply current as well
Under the above conditions
Power supply current value: 218.07mA
Under this condition, only output ch is shorted
317 mA
In case of both ch shorted.
397mA (about 400mA at the moment)
So, please let me know about following questions.
1.Are the above measurements correct?
2.Is this value consistent with the following content of the data sheet?
The current limit block prevent the output current from getting high enough to damage the device.
3.Do you have any other information on CurrentLimitBlock?
