TAS5805M: played again after the pause

Part Number: TAS5805M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5805

Hi team,

Customer uses TAS5805M power amplifier. When the music is played again after the pause, it is found that the first 1-2 seconds of the sound is small, and then it returns to normal. What may be the problem and how to solve it?

Best Regards,
Amy Luo

  • Hello Amy,

    Please help to check:

    1. audio source: as you known, SoC or music player may has done some processing to audio source for that music effect;
    2. TAS5805 itself: TAS5805 has ramp up time for music returns to normal volume, basically, the time consumption here is ~ (volume(customer's)+110dB)/LRCLK
      1. Please refer to page 58 of datasheet with : DIG_VOL_CTRL2 Register (Offset = 4Eh) [reset = 0x33] , which means this time can be adjusted.
      2. I would recommend to use default value.

    As you mentioned, the time consumption here is 1-2s, hence please help to check item 1 firstly.

    Regards,

    Alix Wan.
