DRV2700EVM: Piezo Console Software Crashes (even after Firmware update).

Part Number: DRV2700EVM

Hello

I started the testing of this module with the delivery configuration, however:

The Piezo Console software detects and recognizes the module, but it crashes when I press "Connect".

I updated the module firmware with success, however the problem persists.

I am using Windows 10.

Can you please suggest a solution?

Many Thanks, Henrique

  • Hi, Henrique,

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products!

Could you provide details about the firmware update procedure? Did you pressed the SW1 button and release it at the end of the update?

Which piezo console software are you using? And which file did you select to update the firmware?

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.

  • Hi, Henrique,

Do you have a feedback about this?

    Thank you.

  • Hi Luis

Thank you very much for your answer.

I am sorry by my later answer but I was traveling.

In fact I found out the solution to the problem:

I was running Windows 10 on a Mac using VMWare. The problem is that VMWare does not control well the USB ports.

With a PC, the DRV2700EVM works perfectly. Gain and output voltage is ok as set with the GUI.

I will do further tests with the Mac/VMWare this weekend to see if I can get the USB ports properly configured.

I will get back to you with the results.

In the meanwhile thank you again for your prompt answer to my request for support.

    Best regards, Henrique
