I have some questions regarding the TS3A225E. I'm looking for a solution to distinguish any kind of microphone jack and route it. I'm  looking for an IC capable of distinguish a microphone in the tip and ring 1 too. My proposed solution is one like this:

 

Do you see any issue on this? Is this feasible?

    Hello Adam,

    Do I understand right, that you want to use a TRRS audio jack? 
    In any case you won't need two TS3A225E, as one device can address all 4 contacts of the audio jack. The device can automatically switch between TRS and TRRS mode, for more details, please check the Appendix in the datasheet.
